Designed to prevent risks linked to gas use (intoxication, leak, fire, etc.), the gas installation survey has been mandatory since 01.11.07 for all transactions involving properties equipped with gas for more than 15 years (decree no. 2006-1147 of 14 September 2006). The document must have been drawn up less than 3 years beforehand.

The survey covers:

  • the condition of built-in gas heating systems (link to gas heating) (boiler, radiators, etc.)
  • the condition of domestic hot water production systems
  • the condition of pipes and coupling accessories
  • the ventilation of rooms and evacuation of combustion products

If this document is missing, the seller will incur civil penalties (bringing the existing installation into line).
