diagnostic plom

In the past, lead was used in paints. Because it represents a health risk (lead poisoning) for children if ingested, it is now prohibited.

This survey is mandatory for homes built before 01.01.1949.

Its validity is:

  • permanent, if no lead is detected
  • for 1 year, if the concentration threshold exceeds the prescribed standard
  • for 6 years, in the case of a rental

It costs approximately € 180.

If the survey reveals lead is present, the owner must inform occupants and anybody hired to perform work on the site.
